About Us
The Goalball Federation of India (GFI) is the official national body responsible for promoting, organizing, and developing the sport of Goalball for blind and visually impaired athletes in India. Established with a vision to empower individuals with visual disabilities through sports, GFI works tirelessly to bring Goalball into the mainstream of Indian sports.
The federation conducts state, zonal, and national-level championships, coaching camps, and referee and coach training programs to strengthen the foundation of Goalball across the country. GFI also provides a platform for talented athletes to represent India in international Goalball tournaments under the guidelines of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA).
With the support of government bodies, NGOs, schools, and sports institutions, the federation aims to create awareness, inclusivity, and equal sporting opportunities for visually impaired players. GFI believes in promoting discipline, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship, helping athletes achieve excellence both on and off the field.
The Goalball Federation of India continues to work towards building a strong network of athletes, coaches, and officials dedicated to the development of Goalball and to establishing India as a competitive force in international blind sports.
